The learning curve for jamuse’s founders is forever.
Commentary by Michael Adams

I got on the radar at jamuse and now I’m in the newsletter. The idea was I could comment on clever ways to use Museworx to interact with clients. I could do that. But I’m not going to.
I’m not a jamuse employee, and they have no idea I intended to write this, But I think it’s important, so here goes. As one of you (not one of them) it gives me a chance to affirm, as far as I can tell, this unbelievable technology and opportunity appearing before us on jamuse seems to be genuine. It looks like the promise they are making is one they plan to keep.
Even so, we’re all wondering, how long can we count on jamuse to keep their eye on the ball? When will this nice community feeling fade? How soon before jamuse stops replying to (almost) every post, and answering (almost) every email? Where does it all end? What’s their end game and the exit strategy? In other words, how long is our honeymoon? While talking with a jamuse exec I had some of these things on my mind. So he rambled about technology and innovation and opportunity, etc, and then, suddenly realizing what I was getting at, he crystallized it in seven little words. What he said was, “The learning curve at jamuse is forever.” To me, that sounded about right. Forever is a long time, but that’s the promise we’re looking for from the people who invented jamuse. If they run these paragraphs, then you’ll know they plan to keep it.
About the infamous “advisor” email. It’s no secret, there are thousands of us who “impressed” them. Did someone actually see our work? I decided to put that behind me. Nevertheless, I am familiar with other portfolio sites, and have used web file transfers constantly for several years. And, like you, I see jamuse is a many, many times better in every way. Beyond that, I’ve not heard anyone disappointed that they joined.
So consider this. Perhaps the only thing to say is that jamuse is pretty easily impressed by all of us creatives. Every one of us. And in a way, that is sort of touching. It feels like home to me.
