  Change the world - Lead
Change the world - why not?

By: David Fritsche 10/9/2007 7:13 PM

This blog is simple - my thoughts for the day of how to change the world.  The world can use improvement.  We may disagree about how to improve.  But whatever your passion, it can be done.  But how?

1. Make a decision

I am a firm believer that 99% of the people in the world have good at heart...they believe, they want and desire to do right by others.  However, they float through life and let life happen to them.  We all do it to some extent.   There are a few who happen to life.  They make a decision and find a way.  Usually this is for personal gain.  For greed.  That's not all bad either.

People want to be led.  Most people look for the loudest person around them or latch onto something to give them meaning or personal gain.  Again, not bad, but also, decision by proximity or acquiescence.

Those who actually make a decision, lead or join the cause based on the decision are rare.  They are entrepreneurial (like those of you in this community).  They create and find ways to make it happen.

Those who want to be led, find these people who are moving in a direction.

I can write a book here, but enough said:

Have you made a decision or are you just following the loudest voice?

Make a decision about something you care about, and you can start to change the world.  People will follow…you will find others who have a similar passion…and change begins…

Next part will be Sticking with the decision – Life can “happen” to the best of us and quitters do not change anything…

Perseverance, commitment, hope and the knowledge that we all love and all suffer is key. The only thing that separates us from each other is fear. I believe that 100% of people in the world have good at heart. Some have just lost their way from time to time.

Yes you are quite write but any decision needs perfect experience and a desire to cope with any problem. What we want and what we are going to do this should be balanced by our perfect combination of good positive effort and a great believe in itself.

Interesting discussion. I agree that most people have good hearts and no intention to hurt or do wrong. On the other hand, being casually led into life without firm direction can be dangerous. A lot of harm is done by following the wrong leaders or just standing by. In my opinion we can never stop questioning ourselves and our beliefs - what we can tolerate or what cannot be tolerated at all. It's easy to let life happen but the end results aren't always what we hoped for. Sometimes our best intentions are destructive and hurtful. Other times the best service we can render is silence. It all depends. Life isn't too easy, is it.
