Inspiration is half the battle. that's why I recommend living near a beach or in the mountains. God's creation brings inspiration. Family brings inspiration. Friends bring inspiration - both good and bad.
Are you inspired?

| Hi David, totally new at this blogging thing. Anyway you're right about your inspirations. I also find that my favorite artists both past and present extremly inspirational. Studying their work, the way they handle paint or strokes or compostion. My mentor had me copy their work, learned a hell of a lot. Well thats my take. |

| There is a book is a true inspiration for me, because inspiration is not just for creative/artistic people. "It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want To Be" from Paul Arden. Makes you think differently and motivates.

Beach and mountains gives you a calm mind, and when you're relax you can think better, but I don't change my city to a mountain, although when I need I go there, once a month.

I am starting a new kind of collages, and I am going to get inspired in Woody Allen 70's movies, and all kind of scientific fiction comics.

By the way, one thing that book teach me is to open your mind, and I am not talking about what you are thinking with 'open mind'. Suppose I am doing a site for a surf magazine. And I need some good ideas about colors or textures, whatever. I've 10 minutes to stay in my kitchen and to come back to my computer with an idea. : / Yes, it's strange, but I exercise my mind. : )
|
