hi everyone. I have in my portfolio 2 files, 1 is the logo, the other is the business card containing the logo, the 2 are VERY different in color, both are CMYK, I didn't bother to make RGB for web, they're to print, and they both use the same icc color profile, everything is color managed in my world ;) . basically, even though they are both CMYK, they should both look exactly the same when viewed in my portfolio, both are PDF out of illustrator, this is crazy! here's a screenshot:

Do you have a color profile assigned? That's prob. the culprit.

| Yes, but (I think) it may change when it runs through the Museworx script. Museworx may not recognize or may not process CMYK color profiles outside of the default CMYK (I'm not sure.)
I'd suggest either converting to RGB or saving the file as a jpeg with no color profile and relying on contrast to match as closely as possible.

well, I saved an RGB with no profile, but it still looks the same from what I can tell, museworx looks crazy cause I still have that flash issue. let me put it on an image host and see what we get.
here it is:
how insane, it's just a jpg with no profile and it still looks bad. :( |

You can go into your photoshop (save for web settings) and replace the deepest violet color with an even deeper one. Or, you can save the JPG, create a multiply layer and lay the original color over it.
Sometimes, things just don't parse the way you want them to, and when you're going from 4c to RGB, you sometimes have to do a lot of faking to make it work.
