When I launch a project if the first file in the project is huge the first thing my user will see is a long status bar.
Can we make it so a file does not launch by default, or make a project icon and then it launch?
Another option this would also increase performance. You are already making a large.jpg can you just display the largej.pg so the user can move from file to file quickly and then only load the jam file if they click the zoom?
I have a project with 15 or so large jpgs and the project is difficult to use if it takes 45 seconds for each file to load, and you have to browse through them that is almost 10 minutes in download but I only need to preview 12 and then zoom in on 3.
I was going to upload a wedding album for a bride and thought this would be unusable, not to mention not near enough space. Only 500mb?
Last I need more markup tools, a highlighter, a line and a box at a minimum.

This was a suggestion I made earlier. It would be great if Museworx would create a smaller version of our images for VIEWING! Maybe a dropdown or radio buttons that would allow say 800x ... (maintain aspect ratio) @ 80% Quality for viewing and mark-up purposes. The load times would be wicked quick. Presently I am using IrfanView to resize all my images (giant tiff and jpegs) to around 100k in file size. SO if Museworx could do that for me than I wouldn't have to use another app for that process! My favorite algorithm is B-Spline... I've tried most and this one has the least artifacts. Checkout the load times of the images on my website (bobgoguen.com); the image size(s) are 950x650! I used a B-Spline Algo with IrfanView to compress and resize them. |

| Hear hear on the markup tools, in addition to which it'd be nice to have a *rudimentary* way to drop in some text too (I don't mean comments, but actual copy on-top of the image/design). |

We can add all kinds of things, but to echo some other comments in the discussions...it is important not to clutter the interface for clients. For instance: Why a text tool? What does this give my client that a Note does not? Why a line? Why not just draw? The point beine to take a Google (minimalist) approach and really question each new thing, that might be nice for some at the expense of compleixty for others. |

David, Point taken. My thoughts on the text tool are to quickly mock in a headline or similar for a client. This could easily be accomplished by a FPO box, really. Line is straighter than a pen ;) Check out this online T-shirt site. We were just looking at this with a client who wants similar functionality — It's all live and editable: http://www.spreadshirt.com/us/US/Create-t-shirt/Designer-59/ Now I'm not suggesting Jamuse needs any of the functionality therein but from a development standpoint it's pretty intriguing. Like museworx; it's flash-based and populated from a database in addition to user input. Pretty nifty.... Anyway, to bring it back to museworx, I was thinking to have some tools *similar* to those in acrobat. Maybe a comment, a pen, a box, and a circle is all that's needed for the sake of simplicity?? Depends what people are going to use the jam files for; photos, mocks, proofs, etc..... |
