When I try to send a Jammed file to a client, is there any other way of having the client go to the site and open to view it without him having to sign in to Jamuse? This seems to be a pain. If somebody could direct me to a better way I'd appreciate it. Thanks, ArnieB

Hi Arnie,

When in "My Projects", with a particular project selected, if you click the box marked "Make Public (Allow Guests to view the project)" you can have clients bypass the login process.

Hope that helps.

Thanks alot, it worked! But when I recieved the comments from the client back, I could view the file through Museworks, even though I clicked Lanuch Project. I'm using Safari, do you think that it's not compatible?

Did you mean to say you couldn't view the file? If so, then yes, that's my experience with Safari, as well. There are several incompatibility issues with Safari. I'd recommend using Firefox, if possible.

Allan,

We've done a lot on Safari in the last three weeks. I agree that Firefox is generally more stable with Flash and it seems like you have to clear he cache quite often when using Safari with Flash; But are you still having specific issues?

David,

I'm seeing the following issues with Safari:

1) I realize now that Safari's "Block Pop-Up Windows" feature is the culprit which prevents me from launching a project from Museworx and clicking and seeing the large version of a portfolio image in a pop-up window. This might want to be taken into consideration. I've seen other users mention they didn't realize there was a large pop-up portfolio image because it was being blocked.

2) Don't know if this is still relevant, but Mungo posted this Safari issue:
http://www.jamuse.com/Discussions/tabid/54/forumid/2/tpage/1/view/topic/postid/652/Default.aspx#652

3) I'm going to try typing this in Safari. In the past, all my line and paragraph breaks were lost when using this browser.

I notice some of the other problems I've had with Safari have been corrected. Anyone else having other Safari issues?

Allan edit- The line breaks stayed put, but when I go to edit my post, it turns into one large html tagged paragraph. Plus, I have to add html tags to my edit or else it turns into an unformatted paragraph, like you see here. I'm also still seeing an error message in Museworx when trying to access who viewed portfolio images with large view numbers (Safari and Firefox).

Arnie,

Check your block pop-up windows feature in Safari. After unchecking it, I could launch a project.

With Safari in mind, Two weeks back we changed the invitations to not require a pop-up, so your clients should not have a problem. In Museworx, however, a pop-up is required since the jam files require full screen.

Also, on the large images...in just a few minutes from now, we are eliminating the large image popup and have incorporated the large images direcly into the viewasset page. This was requested in the discussion groups... Looks great.
