Thought I'd start a thread about error messages.

This is the error message while trying to delete an image from my Portfolio:

"An error has occurred and object could not be deleted.
Access to the path '\\192.168.10.37\data\partition07\2007\11\10\ikUR3OsYZj5mJzv7.jpg' is denied."

Hey, yah, I've been receiving the same message, but on a pc. I talked with someone on Live Chat and they said the servers are being updated and the 'delete' feature should be up within 24 hrs.

I too was having a lot of error messages regarding uploading files etc. You must have flash nine installed - that fixed my first problems - and the other was created because of an internet anonymizer I had running in the background. It scrambles the cookies or something - so if you are running one of those - turn it off when using Jamuse!http://www.jamuse.com/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/ermm.gif

I received error messages when trying to upload portfolio images, eventually having to send files to my Live Chat rep for them to upload. It's working now though. Weird. FYI, I'm on a 2.4 24" iMac running Leopard and Flash Player 9.

Cheers!

I have yet to upload a single portfolio file successfully, although I did finally get a profile pic up. I'm running Leopard, too, but I don't get so much as an error message -- just an instant dump back to the upload page as if I'd never tried to post a thing. I'm also running the most current Flash 9 player, unless Adobe has released a new one in the last three days.

I want to like this site, and I want to use it and have it be a huge success we can all be part of. Are there Leopard users on the Advisory Board who aren't having problems? What's your secret?

Hi Marybaum
I've manage to get a few files up - resolution not to what I like at the moment, though the Help Desk people told me they look fine on their screen, but on mine, they definitely look "unprofessional"....
I am running Flash 9 - and to dump that is possibly not the best solution for me, for now, as I am in the process of revamping my flash site... anyway, can you tell me your file measurement, resolution, format and if you have closed these files before uploading. I found out if my file is still open on my desktop, it has always kick back with an error, or worst, it loads, jams and then not show the image on the portfolio....

Thanks Snowdog - I have Flash Player 8... - I can now delete and load without issues now, so perhaps for now, I am thinking the on/off upgrading in the last few days is probably what is causing the issue. I'll try load few more files later to test.

I'm not on Leopard, yet. But that's a bit scary to hear, considering the other Mac/Safari issues still unresolved (all documented in other threads), and a "live" date apparently approaching.

I know the tech crew is diligently working to resolve all issues. Having said this, I'll offer a gentle reminder to the site architects for bulletproof performance on the Mac before Jamuse goes live. With membership to surely grow, and substantial numbers of clients using the Mac, it's obviously imperative that Jamuse be 100% Mac-friendly.

We've been working with Adobe on a fix. Apparently uploading in flash is a general error that Apple Leopard broke. A fix was just released. Here's the solution.

Solution: These issues are addressed by Flash Player 9 Update 3 (v 9.0.115.0), available on the Flash Player Download Center.

Note: All users should uninstall any currently installed version of Flash Player before installing Flash Player 9 Update 3.

Let me know if this works for you.
