I just had this random thought. What if jamuse had a gallery section.
Basically a panel of creditable judges would pick a few pieces of art
or one artists to feature in a monthly gallery show. People could
submit one or however many submissions were allowed for a shot at a
spot in the online gallery. The gallery images would be well displayed
using higher resolution
files then usual. Artists are always looking to submit things to shows. It is
a way for some people to build to their resume if the panel of judges
was well selected and the gallery was designed in an attractive matter.
There could be a group show section and a solo show section. If you get
accepted to the solo show you get an interview with jamuse talking
about your ideas, approaches and techniques. |

| I like the idea, but would the gallery reflect any work, or would there be 'themes' that have submissions that relate to them?Perhaps even gallery themes in advance, with work created and then submitted to fit the theme. Also, would there be any sort of prize other than recognition from peers? The resolution issue is tricky, as if the resolution gets too high, the artists' will be concerned that their work could be downloaded. There would have to be a barrier to that happening. |
