Amathias,

Welcome and thanks for the comments.  Not too late as we have only had advisors for a few weeks and your comments are welcome.  Your work should start showing soon.  The assets rotate.

Thanks for taking care of a few performance issues, the site appears much quicker.

I’m looking forward to viewing the new homepage and a few site design changes based upon the site advisory board's comments.

Hello,

So far I like the site, and also have some concerns which I will mention here. Currently I notice that the 4 thumbnails that show up when someone goes to my portfolio get viewed frequently, but none of the others have been viewed. This indicates to me that people are not taking the time to go past the initial thumbnails. I've perused other people's portfolios and this seems to be a common occurrence.

I am using the collaboration tool today for the first time. So far so good. One comment is that the forward and back scroll buttons seem to be for scrolling through the project files, but are actually for scrolling through comments. Perhaps a similar set up for scrolling through the project files would eliminate confusion. I'd put the one for projects where you currently have it for comments, and put the comments one to the left over by the chat and comments tabs.

Overall, great site :)

My first impression was very positive. The site is also easy to use. Fast uploading.
Perhaps I missed some more space where to describe the images I upload. Media etc.
Also to be able to write more, than not in a blog.

Thanks for the help to find you !
Karin

Karen,

In your Museworx, select the file you want to change. Double click it or click the edit button in the lower right of the screen. You will see the description, keywords and attributes for the files.

Hope that helps.

The Search function is not working properly for me.  I searched for College Station Photographers, and one of my images popped up, but not my page.  I searched for Art Wright, and my page was the last result (on page 3)...  Great site otherwise, and howdy to all!

Good morning fellow site advisory board members -

Are we ready for a great day?  I was surfing jamuse early this morning and saw that we are now in 45 Countries.  Congratulations to all of us and to you.

For our NEW members in Japan and France we welcome you.  Let’s make it a great day and keep the feedback coming in.  Best - Rob

I uploaded my first two images today without much of a problem. THe first time I clicked on "museworx", it didn't come up for me. I had to apple-click to get it to come up. I tried it after that, though, and it worked fine. Might have been just a delay or something. The upload was fast, and changing options on images (name, sharing, etc.) was easier than I expected.

So far, so good. I'll be uploading more for sure.

Over all I'm very pleased. Jamuse is a fresh new multi-functional concept. It mixes the ability interact with clients, market to new ones, social interacting with fellow artists and getting news/current events. I'm a fine artist and it would to be great to have the ability to sell my product. this might be something for future consideration. Initially I had to press a few buttons to figure out how to navigate in and showcase my art. Newcomers might have a tough time showcasing without the tutorial. Some times I have to hit a link then cancel, 2 or 3 times before your server allows me to proceed. This may be a technical congestion issue? I'd like the ability to edit the priority/sorting of how thumbnails are listed with out deleting and re-uploading. I love your newest feature in portfolio, the animated perspective showcasing selected work. Over all the site is off to a great start. It's got a great look, unique new concepts for file sharing. That with your staffs of professional marketing, technical, and backers promises to be a winner. Is there a set launch date set?

Amy and Armando,

Welcome. Glad to see you figuring out the site. What we will be adding for you soon is more How To videos, like the one for .jam'ing files. They will walk you through. Also a new User Guide will be here next week.

No set launch date. We want to make sure everything is ready and your help in getting it better is much appreciated.

Take some time to share files nad let us know how that goes.

Again, Welcome.

jamuse is a very impressive site. It is simple and very intuitive. I also like the aesthetic feel of the site coming from a graphic designers point of view. I am especially loving the feature of being able to control which files can be downloaded. I will browse around some more and try out other features and give feedback on those. So far... it's great!!!

I'm not sure if this has been brought up but is there a way to change the order of our files so we can fix the way our files are viewed? I think since the site basically can use drag and drop, maybe a way to move the file where we want or a move up move down button...

Example... Let's say i have 5 files in the order of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. if i wanted to rearrange it to be 3, 4, 1, 2, 5... can that be done?

It seems very well laid-out, and simple to use, which is great, because I don't waste time trying to figure out how to upload or edit my files.

I am very impressed with the website from what I've seen so far. I found it very easy to sign up and upload images, and the design and layout of the website is very professional looking.

I joined on October 2nd, (posted to this discussion on October 6th), and I've been looking at other comments and blogs and getting others' perspectives on Jamuse. Today I receive an email asking me, as an Advisory Board member, to upload images
to my portfolio. Interesting. On the 2nd, as I posted in my entry on the 6th, I finally navigated to MUSEWORX and was able
to upload several files as well as add descriptions to each. Until today, these files were displayed whenever I logged in and looked at my profile. All images are gone, including descriptions. Did the Jamuse server(s) have a problem that I'm not aware of?
Kinda disturbing that the 8 images I uploaded are gone.

I've logged in several times to get familiar with the site, so far I like what I see. Currently I am playing around with the Museworks section. I'm wondering, will my clients need to have an account to be able to collaborate with me on projects I am handling for them?

Danny,

We opened up your account and the files are all still there. You have to go into Museworx and make them public. Several ways to do this, but the easiest is to open museworx, Click on My Assets, double-click on each file. Check the boxes - Including in community and Include in portfolio. If you want them all in your portfolio, select all the files and edit the settings at the bottom of the page.

Hope this helps,

David

Greetings, everyone! I'm new to the site and have uploaded a very small selection of recent work to my portfolio page. Overall, I'm impressed by the site and it's functionality. A few minor frustrations:
1. The listings when using the "find an expert" and "filter user" links don't display the same formatting of profile text as it appears when navigating to the profile page itself.
2. It is not clear and intuitive when uploading images to:
a. how to get them to appear in the portfolio (I have since figured it out -- thankfully I'm not afraid of clicking away!)
b. that the file name becomes the title (I added titles in the "description" field) -- I have to go back in and move titles
into the proper field but then I loose my original file name.
3. I archive all of my images by file name and would like those to stay with the image at least on the "assets" page but often have image titles that have nothing to do with the file name. Chalk this up to an archiving method that for better or worse allows me to find files without much keywording in the metadata -- I know I have to bite the bullet at some point and keyword a massive number of archived images, but for now, my method is working for me.

Other than those minor frustrations, I'm learning my way around and am about to venture into the sharing and collaborating functions.

Peace for now . . . Dan
