Upon opening Museworx and clicking on "view files," I get a nice window with thumbnails on the left with file type, file name etc. in columns with the title and description nicely displayed.  The scroll bars with up and down arrows are completely visible and operate normally.  However, if I use the "My Assets" link in the left hand "panes," the window does not display properly; that is, there is an inordinate amount of blank white space and the scroll bar on the right does not display the lower arrow and once I've run out of drag space on my wacom tablet, I can scroll no futher to view other thumbnails.  And as I write this, I notce also that even if I have a file highlighted to display edit, avatar, copy, download and delete buttons, the image thumbnail does not appear.  In fact, all of the preview thumbnails above the edit pane disappear also.  The only way to get back to a proper display is to exit out of museworx completely and navigate back in remembering to use only the "view files" link in the main window.  I end up with the same problem if I simply use the "getting started" link and click "view files" rather than going to "home" or "my community" first.

Could this be a browser issue? (IE 6)

Also, in the slide view in Museworx, long titles affect the display of the "slides" with long titles as well as neighboring "slides."

OK, now previews in the "edit" pane have begun to appear but they are still missing in the "listing" pane and the formatting still seems to be whacked out.

Thanks in advance for looking in to this issue.

Peace,
Dan

Dan,

Thanks for the heads up. I think I know what you mean on the scrolling issue. We are looking at it. It seems to be on smaller screens that do not have enough space to show the full height of the screen.

Ok, the site seems to be working now. This has been a very frustrating day for me on Jamuse beginning with error messages upon login attempt first thing and the morning, a not so stellar chat with "live help," and attempts to post this response to you (now the 4th try -- hence the message above).

On topic: I don't think the scroller bar is an issue with monitor size but rather with formatting code through the "my assets" folder button within museworx. I use 18" monitors which may be small by some standards these days, but ample enough for web browsing and working in a variety of software applications. I'll send you some screen shots via email (I can't tell you why I didn't think of this earlier; I guess not one of my more creative thinking moments.)

Additional support-like issues/questions/concerns:
Throughout the day, the site has returned error messages and simply stopped linking and responding from virtually every page. I know it is not an issue with my Comcast cable account as a variety of image/content intensive sites have been operating just fine through these periods. I even dumped my cache and removed all cookies to no avail in an attempt to respond to your post. 3 previous posts failed to "upload" for lack of a better term. I realize that the site is undergoing continual updating through this pre-launch period, but had I been working with a client on a tight deadline today, we both would have been up the proverbial creek if Jamuse was our only mode of communication and delivery.

My "live help" experience was less than stellar to say the least. I was being told that the site was working just fine when it clearly was not (though I was impressed that I was able to make "live help" contact even though I was not logged in). The chat was heading in the direction of being talked through, step by step, how to log in -- putting in my user name and password is not a difficult, complicated task and I would probably not be able to handle a chat window if I was incapable of that simple task. And I probably would not be contacting live help unless I had tried to login several times, being sure to check that I had not mistyped the username and/or password. I was even asked if I had already created an account! My thought was that if I had not created an account, I probably wouldn't be trying to login. Perhaps my frustration is affecting my thinking on this -- I realize trouble shooting needs to start with the simplest of things and the help at the other end has no clue as to the "customer's" expertise and computer literacy -- but I started by saying that I was receiving a time out error when attempting to login.

I think that's it for now -- enough venting -- I'll move on to forwarding the screen shots.

Peace,
Dan

David,
I sent you an invite to a project that contains screen shots of what is going on . . . the issue hasn't resolved itself other than I have now trained myself not to use the "my assets" button on the left. However, I have added some folders but have been reluctant to put anything in them for fear that those "links" will react the same as the "my assets" link.

I used the museworx project as the method to contact as I could not figure out how to attach an image by clicking on the "message" button under your avatar. There is no clear route for adding/inserting/attaching a file through the system and what with the frustrations of the day, I figured why not practice with museworx by going that route. Hope you get a chance to look at the "museworx issue" project as the screen shots are far better than my words.

Peace,
Dan

Hi Dan,

I have IE6 too and everything is working fine. I also have a 12in. laptop screen. I museworx are working great and the scroll bar is working well also. May be you need to update your internet browser or use firefox?
Good luck, Lam

Lam, I think we resolved this a while back and should lock this thread.
