hey, once i load an image onto my portfolio, i am not seeing any IPTC info being recognized. is this the case or am i just not looking in the right place?

Justin,
Thanks for the suggestion. This is not integrated with IPTC yet. That is a good idea for the future. For now, use Museworx and add the information. You can do it one image at a time or group the images and add the information all at once.
